A 9-year-old boy North Carolina boy was suspended for calling a teacher “cute,” WSOCTV.com reports.
The boy’s mother, Chiquita Lockett, said the principal of Brookside Elementary in Gastonia called her after the incident to say the comment was a form of “sexual harassment.”
“It’s not like he went up to the woman and tried to grab her or touch her in a sexual way,” Lockett said. “So why would he be suspended for two days?”
According to the station, a district spokeswoman said she could not go into detail, but said the boy was suspended for “inappropriate behavior” after making “inappropriate statements.”
The district’s Code of Conduct doesn’t list “inappropriate behavior,” but says “disruption of school” is punishable by five days of out-of-school suspension.
The news of the North Carolina boy’s suspension comes as a Massachusetts elementary school is investigating a first-grader for sexual harassment after the boy struck another boy his age in the groin.
The mother of the accused 7-year-old tells the Boston Globe that her son was fending off another child, who had choked him in an altercation on the school bus on Nov. 22.
“I think my kid was right to fight back,’’ said the mother, Tasha Lynch, 30. “He wasn’t doing anything except protecting himself.’’
Lynch says her son has been afraid to return to Tynan Elementary School in South Boston since the fight, according to the paper.
Matthew Wilder, spokesman for the Boston public schools, declined to comment on the incident or why it has been classified as a possible case of sexual harassment. He said officials do not discuss confidential student information.

I have to do a persuasive speech in my English class about one person in history that I feel should be honored for their contributions to mankind. I absolutely love to do stuff like this, but there’s one problem. I have absolutely no idea who to choose. I do online school so I really don’t have the resources available quickly. Does anyone know someone in history that would be easy to find information on, yet be an interesting topic pick?

im currently being home schooled with penn foster online schooling and help of my mom and all i want to do is join the army penn foster is nationally and regionally accredited but i was wondering if that was good enough for the army or any military branch
and if its not what would i have to do to be able toenlist

-Has to do with something fantasy
-Should hav a person or part of the body in it, such as a eye, nose or mouth ect.
Wat I want:- (Don’t hav to follow this)
- Something cool and i was after a girl sitting in a tree staring at the moon wearing half a mask but that was to hard so pls gimmi some similar idea =] thankz!

In my view, top 40 or any university recognized as being great (harvard to stanford to columbia to cornell to a top public university etc) = elite
here is my story, all cliff notes
so here is my story:
- Family moved to the US when I was about 10
- Age of 12 family moves to an impoverished town where the income of a household is 15k below national average
- Go to a really bad junior high school where for 1 year we barely learn any math, manage to be one of the three kids in a class to pass the statewide tests which were really basic
- Manage to get into a decent high school but am too far behind compared to other kids, struggle in my first two years and pass by with B’s and 2 C’s, 2.8 GPA at the end
- Make a 4.0 my junior and senior years but come time for college admissions, get rejected from state flagship despite a 1950 SAT score and could not dream of going to a top 20 university at all
So after high school
- After a strong junior and senior year, I see that I may have a chance of going somewhere academically or transferring to a top university, problems come in
- Parents force me to be a chemistry major against my own will, finish first year of college with a 2.8 GPA because the classes I took I had no interest in
- Finally fuss it out with parents, currently a sophomore in my first semester, and that is the story
- College I go to is 5 minutes from my house (tier 2 school)
What I want to know is this, has my dream of ever attending an elite university (grad student, MBA, masters, or just going there for a semester or year or so, just going there and spending a semester there to see how it is like) basically gone for this lifetime?

I’m wondering if anyone has any tips on where to start on becoming an RN in a hospital Maternity ward. I know that it probably starts off with the same courses you’d take to become ANY type of RN, but I wasn’t sure if there was anything more specific I should be looking into. Also, just how much schooling is involved, typically? Is it generally 4 years followed by more specific training for this particular area, or just the basic RN course? Any accredited online nursing courses for pre-reqs like phoenix.edu? Any and all information is MUCH appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I feel a little bit awkward asking this question but today my friends tried to prank me and showed me this video of this guy who jumps from a building to the beach but hits his head on a ledge splitting it in half. The video later shows the guy alive in the hospital and its just weird and gross at the same time. Anyway, this video brought back some bad memories. A long time ago I saw this crane fall in a school with two guys in it. One died instantly since his head just like exploded on the floor, the other one just broke some ribs and stuff im not sure. Anyway I was 8 years old… in fact it was my birthday and I remember I had blood on my shoes. ahh remembering makes me shiver. In another occasion I once saw these guys in a truck throw grenades and shoot this guy and his bodyguard in a car. How messed up is that? Im very unlucky i guess im always at the wrong place at the wrong time. Anyway could this type of stuff affect you in the long run or does it just make you desensitized? Im 18 now and im not crazy or anything like that im just wondering since that stupid video is stuck in my head now. It pisses me off when people deliberately look up stuff like that online

Tomorrow we’re going swimming after school, and I’m wondering how I should have my hair. I don’t really want my hair down because my hair goes all curly and wavy and everything after it gets wet. Any Ideas?
