I myself own 2010, but my school has 2007.
Currently I’m working on the powerpoint at home and school, so would the Microsoft Office program not be compatible and reject viewing my 2010 powerpoint?
Thanks for any assistance.

It’ll still work. If you’re unsure then there’s an option to save as an even older format (.doc) which will run in compatibility mode under newer versions, though this may cripple some new features which you might’ve used which older versions can’t read.
I like your profile picture.
It will work for both PowerPoint 2010 and 2007 have the same naming system like PPTX, PPSX, POTX, with an “X” at the end.
While for PowerPoint 1997-2003, the formats are like PPT, PPS, POT. so PowerPoint 2010/2007 files can not be played dirctly on PowerPoint 1997-2003.
Besides, you need to aware that PowerPoint 2010 has added some new features like new animations, transtions, art fonts, so if you have used, they cannot be shown on PowerPoint 2007.
